I am not mad, I am not mad, I am not desperate for some sleep, I am not desperate for some sleep... just for a second I could see why you could lose your mind and hit your kid, but just for a second... OMG he has no idea what he did, he just casually mentioned it today after I asked him if he saw my pills a few times last night. With his autism he has such a time issue that he thinks he did it today. (When he did a boo-boo lol) How will I get to sleep?
1|1|Glennie, can you get a Rx for lost meds? I think insurance and/or Medicaid/Medicare allow for that....call the pharmacy and ask :) Maisa, do you know??|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|16:27:51|04/02/2010|

until now he did not have the control necessary to open bottles and stuff so I didn't sweat it.
Maybe this is why I need to pay attention and therefore need to get some sleep lol, because all of the signs are saying
he is getting better and better with his hands and being more and more involved with things around him. He flushed the
whole bottle, so I think he is still safe but wow! this is a wake up call, thank all of you for helping. 3|1|Oh No girlie...I agree with what Joy said, hope you can get them replaced (((HUGS)))~*~|RebekkaVA|queen_vulture@msn.com|16:38:14|04/02/2010|

I wanted actually to be able to sleep at my sleep study, dang it! One little thing can have such long range repercussions, it takes a week to get this controlled substance approved anyways, never mind a week after they just filled it.... 7|2|Doesn't your dr have an on call service, where you can call anytime after hours? |RebekkaVA|queen_vulture@msn.com|17:25:31|04/02/2010|

10|2|That might be because Ambien is a Class C drug....they would need a written Rx from the doc I guess....I agree with Rebekka, call your doctor's network and ask for him or the on-call doc...they can fax a Rx to the pharmacy.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|18:16:26|04/02/2010|

they'd better hope it NEVER happens a 2nd time cuz the state & drs. say they'll replace a lost med ONLY once.
And if someone claims their med was stolen, they have to file a police report & provide a copy of that report to their dr. before the med is replaced. I believe that's only a 1 time thing too.
I get my prescriptions filled at Walgreens & they've shorted me a few times so I notified my dr. immediately & he had to cancel the current prescription RX & issue a new one. But he also called Walgreens & did a royal butt chewing. The one pharmacist there is a major a$$hole & totally ticked me off cuz he accused me of lying when I called him on the carpet for it. He swore that couldn't possibly happen cuz the machine double counts them. I told him maybe he ought to get off his arse, put on a pair of sanitary gloves & count them himself by hand!
It hasn't happened for awhile now, since my dr. reamed him a new one. ;)
One thing I want to add, for everyone: NEVER keep your meds in the bathroom. For 2 reasons:
1. The heat/humidity in the bathroom can cause the meds to either lose their affectiveness or increase their potency. Neither is good. :(
2. When someone's in the bathroom & that door is closed, you don't know what they're doing in there, i.e. snooping or taking things.
I keep any/all of my meds in a place that's always clearly visible to me but is not easily accessible to anyone else. Noone would ever be able to get ahold of them w/out my knowing about it.

lol 14|3|certain states you can not fax or call in a class c medication to pharmacies it is against the law, unless it is in hospital pharmacy, check with your pharmacy first, you can go to the urgent care and get a new rx, also for lost or missing drugs they can not replace them (class c, we have to count them every shift and do get audited by the fda monthly ) other classes it is up to the pharmacist on duty, it is their license on the line, also many states now have went to a 5-7 day wait on reaccuring class c medications because they are addicting and harmful, make sure those who had them shorted to always count ur meds at the pharmacy you can do it, it is your right, they have to supply you with a counting tray and in a private area..|MyCat|mazashatat11@hotmail.com|21:27:58|04/02/2010|

16|5|yeah ticks me off to, in dc i could do an emergency supply, and i had a md who would sign off on class c for me, in state of ny omg different story, too many guild lines, and we can not transfere rxs that are class c out of the state of ny :( now talk about people screaming at me,, sorry not my fault,, they have taken all our rights almost away in the pharmacies, even our samples that we would hand out for people for these situations :(|MyCat|mazashatat11@hotmail.com|21:57:23|04/02/2010|

Sorry to say this - but you should lock up ANY and ALL medicine that you have in your house from your children. That would include Tylenol, aspirin, etc. Especially if you have a special needs child that would not understand that you are not to touch "Mommie's medicine".

And, for sure, you would not want to take any sleep medicine before a sleep study unless it was prescribed by a Dr. to do so.

Both are natural relaxants. I don't know what all types of foods have those in it but I know cashews do. I munch on cashews every night in bed while reading & 9 times out of 10, I'm out w/in a half hour. LOL I know it works cuz on a couple of occasions, I've gotten a generic brand of cashews that didn't have magnesium & manganese in them. Got to be a few nights in a row I couldn't seem to fall asleep as quickly as usual, & I didn't sleep very well when I did finally fall asleep. I looked at the ingredients on that generic brand & sure enough, there wasn't any magnesium or manganese in them.
Melatonin is supposed to also help you sleep & works w/your body's natural abilities. I don't normally recommend it tho cuz I found it doesn't agree w/me so I don't recommend it to others just in case.
