9 0|0|HELP! Fudge recipe for Easter|KellyJef|burke3536@yahoo.com|07:24:34|04/02/2010|
I want to make the simple fudge for Easter that uses a can of non-whipped frosting and a 12 oz. bag of chips, but I need some ideas for new combinations.
Can you list the combinations you've tried?
So far, the favorite has been chocolate frosting with a bag of the Andes mint chips :)
The next favorite is caramel frosting with a bag of white chips with some chopped walnuts.
For those who haven't tried this recipe:
Melt a can of frosting (don't use the "whipped" frosting) in the microwave. Then melt a 12 oz. bag of chips in the microwave, stirring at 15-20 second increments until completely melted. Mix with the melted frosting and pour into an 8 x 8 inch pan lined with aluminum foil. Chill in fridge for at least 4 hours. Carefully lift the fudge out of the pan using the aluminum foil and peel back the foil. Cut in squares.
I made it with a can of strawberry frosting with white chips for a baby shower and it was a huge hit :)

everyone loves it and so easy Linda 7|3|chunky peanut butter?? great idea!|KellyJef|burke3536@yahoo.com|10:48:23|04/03/2010|
I'm going to use the chunky peanut butter the next time I make that recipe.
You use a can of vanilla or chocolate frosting and an 18 ounce jar of peanut butter instead of the package of chips. Just melt them both and pour into the 8" pan and chill.

Used a can of the white coconut frosting with chocolate chips.
I used the pan that makes the little muffins/cupcakes and lined them with the little muffin/cupcake paper liners and spooned the mixture into them. Tasted like really good quality coconut clusters that you'd get at a candy store! I served them on a very pretty serving plate and they really looked impressive - LOL.
Gonna try them next with walnuts or cashews to make nut clusters.
I LOVE THIS RECIPE :) Gets rave reviews every single time no matter what combinations I use. 9|5|everyone says best fudge they ever ate|LindaOh|Martinl3@roadrunner.com|13:40:21|07/31/2010|
