I need your help! A friend of mine has been nominated as a community builder. She is that and so much more. Connie is someone who has built our community radio station as well as several afterschool kid programs. She is the type of person who shows up early and stays late! I, so badly want to see her win ($1,000 which would go to the radio station and $1,000 media package). Would you take a minute and vote for her? It takes about a minute to vote.

Thank you so much! She is up against some other pretty incredible people, whom I also admire, but this kids radio is near and dear to me. I have to tell you about this one kid who is 10-11 years old. He's actually been through the program twice and we were not sure how much he was really getting out of it. He's kind of a "problem" kid in that he has trouble staying focused, paying attention, etc., but we all figured that if he chose to be in the program then we were there for him. Our local paper went and did an interview with the kids and the reporter asked them some questions. This kid came out of his shell completely and basically got the reporter as excited about kids radio as this young boy is. It was inspiring to all of us. Connie's work pays off for these kids in ways like that.
