He ended up falling backwords and landed on his left elbow.  <P>He broke his elbow and fractured his arm just below the elbow.  We were at the hospital for hours yesterday.  Because he broke his elbow on a "growth plate" which is apparently bad, on thursday we are seeing an orthopedist to see if surgery is needed.  The ER doc and radiologist both are thinking so, but the they want to wait until the swelling goes down to be sure.  Needless to say ds is in tons of pain and I'm praying that he won't need surgery. <P>Then this morning I let my girls sleep in because we didn't get home from the hospital till close to midnight.  I completely forgot that today was dd11's 5th grade class photo... so she missed it.... She was devestated (but incredibly gracious about it 'cause shes an amazing girl) so of course I'm feeling overwhelming guilt over this.... <P>So here I sit having me a pitty party feeling like a crappy mommy!  I know stuff happens, but dang it, I don't want it to happen to my kids ('cause I'm selfish lol)...<P>Anywho,,, I'd appreciate any prayers for the pain to hurry up and go away and him having a break somewhere that they can just cast and not do surgery... No surgery. The breaks were not nearly as bad as the ER thought... He's outta sports for a while, but he'll be good as new in no time...  His pain is completely manageable and hes happy again... He went to school for a few hours, but it just tuckered him out... So glad that your son will not need surgery!
