EPHESIANS 4;29
When you talk, do not say harmful things. But say what people need, words that will help them become stronger.
Do you like for people to say kind words to you? Of course you do! And that's exactly how other people feel too. That's why it's so important to say things that make people feel better, not worse.
Your words can help people, or not. Make certain that you're the kind of person that says helpful things, not hurtful things. And, make sure that you're the kind of person who helps other people feel better about themselves, not worse.
Everybody needs to hear kind words, and that's exactly the kind of words they should hear from you!
BIG IDEA FOR KIDS
If you can't think of something nice to say, don't say anything. It's better to say nothing than to hurt someone's feelings.
Words: Do you fully understand their power? Can any of us really grasp the the mighty force behind the things we say? Do we stop and think before we speak, considering the potency of the words we utter?
BIG IDEA FOR PARENTS
And seldom is heard a discouraging word; if it's good enough for "Home on the Range," it's good enough for your home, too. Make certain that your little abode is a haven of encouragement for every member of your family. You do so by checking your gripes and disappointments at the front door, and encouraging everybody else to do likewise.
TODAYS PRAYER
Dear Lord, You hear every word that I say. Help me remember to speak words that are honest, kind, and helpful.
