I have coupons and I am NOT afraid to use them.

what that means..b/c I had no clue. I had to ask the cashier to repeat it twice. So apparently Gang Cutting is when you get a lot of inserts and cut them and use them..at the same time. So I said...um? what's the problem? The coupons are legitimate cpns for the right item. I was using 13 J&J first aid coupons for 13 first aid tapes at Rite Aid. I got so annoyed about some other stuff he was accusing me of doing I asked him to void the whole thing. That took another 10 minutes (no joke).
I can't wait to call Rite Aid tomorrow.
When I came home to tell DH he couldn't believe it. I said I want to make Orange my gang color. :) and maybe I'll get some tattoos. :)

I paid and was about to leave when I noticed one of the bandaids (1 out of 4 that I bought) was priced $4.99. I bought the wrong ones...ssooooooooooo I went to the cashier and asked if I can exchange the boxes. Nope. no can do. He said..you have to buy something that is $4.99 and no more bandaids. LMBO!! um okkkkkkkkkayyyyy so I go and grab 2 J&J baby wash (figure I'll use it as bubble bath for the kids) grab 2 w/ 2 coupons and get this...the guy says no you have to buy ONE item for $4.99 . Each baby wash was $4.39 minus $1 for each came to a little over $6 for both. For which I was going to pay the difference. But no he says ONE item. we have plent of things in the store marked $4.99. So I said..there is nothing here I want for $4.99 can't I buy these two and pay the difference? NOPE... b/c see.. I used a $3/15 coupon from my total AFTER coupons of $16.36. So he says well you have to give me back the $3 I let you use..blah blah. got so annoyed I told him to void the whole thing and I want my coupons back. I should have said "gang coupons". What a lunatic. It took TEN minutes for the whole void. He rang each one up scanned it then scanned the receipt. Unbelievable.
I got his name..turns out the dope is an ASST MGR.Can't wait to call RA tomorrow.

Coupons that appear to have been cut by machine and submitted for redemption; a form of coupon fraud.

I've seen it referenced at other sites too still searching but it seems a term a company came up with to prevent stores from turning in bulk coupons that they themselves cut.

Well, you did give me a good laugh over this. Gang cutting or gang cut coupons are when you cut a whole stack of coupons at one time and they all line up perfectly, like done with a paper cutter. I used to hear the term when they had Merit ciggy coupons in the newspaper, and people would ask me if they were gang cut, and I had no clue what they meant till they explained it to me, brought back some old memories since Merit has not been out for many years. why do you care HOW I got my coupons. He said there are people who go into dumpsters to get the coupons. And that people are only allowed ONE of each coupon. So I said..um? what if I bought 20 papers to just get the coupons. they are MY coupons. I paid for them. I said that my mom give me her cpns, my neighbors give me theirs that's why I have so many but really what difference does it make HOW or WHERE I got them. I have them. here they are and I'm buying the right amount of products. What's the problem?

that means that the 13 sets of inserts that i got from the car wash- they were in the trash- along with $8 worth of pop cans, $7 worth of change on the ground and in the trash cans- makes me a gang cutter because i stacked them upi and cut what i wanted. walmart gave me no problems when i used those 13 tide coupons to buy 97¢ packages of tide.

profusely for the asst mgr's behaviour. However, he did say that they have been getting customers coming in buying 50 items with 50 items and he said they onlyget reimbursed for only 2% of those coupons. So it is apparent that they have all had conversations about coupon usage and not taking sooo many. He apologized for the asst mgr's behavior and his rude comments.
Needless to say I'm not shopping at that store again.
The one by my house takes as many coupons as I give her WITH A SMILE!!!! yeah that rite aid is off my list.
