THE GOLDEN RULE

Matthew 7;12
Do unto others what you want them to do to you.
Some rules are easier to understand than they are to live by. Jesus told us that we should treat other people in the same way that we would want to be treated; thats the Golden Rule. But sometimes, especially when we're tired or upset, that rule is very hard to follow.
Jesus wants us to treat other people with respect, love, kindness, and courtesy. When we do, we make our families and friends happy, and we make our Father in Heaven very proud. So if you're wondering how to treat someone else, ask the person you see every time you look in the mirror. The answer you receive will tell you exactly what to do.
BIG IDEA FOR KIDS

How would you feel? When you're trying to decide how to treat another person, ask yourself this question; "How would I feel if somebody treated me that way?" Then, treat the other person the way that you would want to be treated.
Make the most of today. Translate your good intentions into actual good deeds.
BIG IDEA FOR PARENTS
--------------------
Make sure that your rule is golden, too; Kids imitate parents so act aocordingly. The best way for your child to learn the Golden Rule is by example, your example.
TODAYS PRAYER

Dear Lord, help me always to do my very best to treat others as I wish to be treated. The Golden Rule is your rule, Father, let me also make it mine.
