and a lady at church told me to let them stay overnight in the fridge to get real cold, and then peel them.
works for me, hope this helps.

2|2|do u run them in cold water when they're done? that usually helps|sneakers1234|ross417@msn.com|14:30:46|03/17/2010|

sit them in cold water for about 5 minutes or more. Then when you get ready to peel them, peel them under running water. I use lukewarm water when I do this. HTH

4|2|Dad always told me to put a generous amount of salt in with the water when they are boiling, them cool them down till you can handle them and then peel, always works for me. :)|jen_ron|bugsmamma@earthlink.net|14:33:02|03/17/2010|

My Mom would always buy the eggs we boiled and dyed for Easter a week or 2 before we did it, HTH, Nancy 7|1|Nancy is right, use "older" eggs|bluh2oeyes|bluh2oeyes@yahoo.com|15:21:29|03/17/2010|

As the egg "ages" it gains more of an "air pocket" this helps the egg seperate from the shell thus making peeling easier.

ty 9|2|I used to have that trouble, but what I do is put eggs in cold water, bring to a good boil. Turn the burner off, and let the eggs sit in the boiling water for 15 mins. Immediately dump hot water off of them, fill pan with cold water and a couple handfuls of ice cubes. Let that sit for about 5 minutes. If you need to peel them right away, let them sit longer and add ice cubes to keep water cold. If you can wait to peel them, put them in the fridge for about an hour, then peel them by hitting each end to break the shell first, find the end with the 'pocket' and start peeling from there. :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|16:14:15|03/17/2010|

Edited to add: this method also prevents the weird green halo the yolks get on them...the yolk will stay yellow all the way through :)

18|8|Cold and damp, lol....I think the soaking in the cold water causes some 'condensation' on the inside to loosen that membrane between the shell and egg.....|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|16:50:28|03/17/2010|
