I never got to have one so i want to give her one i dont know who is more excited about it me or her...LOL
Now her birthday is not until the end of September but we are starting now so that i can make is big and can afford to do it the way i want to. I am renting a hall and getting a DJ i told her she could invite all the friends she wanted to no limit....Im really not sure what else though i found some really cute sweet 16 decorations at oriental trading that she liked so im probably going to order those...As far as food i really havent decided on that part yet something simple that will feed alot im hoping that she will have a good turn out for it. I dont know what these kids like to do now days..LOL music, dancing food do i have it covered??? None of this is going to be exactly cheap but hey she only turns 16 once which is why im planning now i am already checking out the halls so far the cheapest one i have found is $250 plus $100 deposit which i will get back. The Dj a friend of ours is doing so its not doing to be to bad, the food we are doing our selves and if i get her so called fathers income tax money this year then i am going to do my best to buy her a nice used car. I really want to pull this all off for her like i said she only turns 16 once and i think she deserves it!!!!!

I am sure she will have a blast, good thing you are planning in advance! I am sure there will be good deals this summer on drinks and other foods that will keep until the party, that way you can spread your cost out over the next few months.
I did not have a Sweet 16 either; I have an older sister whom my mom threw a huge thing, renting the local rec center with indoor pool. When it was close to time to plan mine, my mom offered me the money instead to save for college ... I took the money and went to the bank :)

That is kind of a cool idea...We are already working on music for the dj i know he has his own music but she wants to make sure he has music that she likes so we are making some of our own cd's as well. But that would be kind of a cool idea to make cd's as a party favor. And yes Nachos i never thought of that i am going to have to start making a list i will never rember this stuff..LOL
