My husband had a stroke today and is now in the hospital. I was at work hours away and he was alone until my son found him. He needs your prayers badly. Today was his first full day in the hospital. They are waiting until tomorrow for 24 hours to pass so the swelling of the brain will go down and they can evaluate his damage. His entire left side was affected. At least he can still talk. Today he could wiggle the toes on his left foot and almost lift his left leg off the bed. He still is unable to move his left arm or hand, but maybe it will be better tomorrow. Please keep praying for him. Of course, we have no insurance and will have to talk to the financial payment counselor on Monday. I told my husband not to worry about it, that all I cared about was his being alive. Yesterday, my husband was sent down to rehab, where he will be for the next few weeks. His left side is still affected, so he is unable to use his arm or leg on that side. But, maybe the rehab will help with that. We are just taking it one day at a time, one small miracle at a time. It has helped so much knowing that you were all there for me, that I could post and someone would hear my cries. There is nothing worse than feeling alone and helpless.
