I know, I know, what else was he gonna do with sharpened scissors???

It may be obvious to expereinced parents but it was not to me, this was one of his new X-mas presents and now we need a new cord.

I am pretty frustrated. We got it for him because he banged the heck out of my dell until the keys came off, rofl. 2|2|Oh now, I just can't believe that cute little man did any such thing...it must have been his imaginary friend who did it! :O|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|17:35:02|03/12/2010|

I'm sorry for laughing but OMG! I can just picture him having a hay day w/those newly sharpened scissors & am thinking it could've easily have been his own hair, or yours, that he cut. LOL

Rule #1: ALWAYS give a child plenty of paper (coloring books, notebooks, etc.) along w/a pair of DULL & rounded-nosed scissors. And then explain to them that they are to cut ONLY the paper provided w/the scissors, preferrably NOT on a carpeted floor, couch or bed but on a hard, flat surface.
Rule #2: Hide the scissors when you're not going to be able to supervise the child, such as when you're sleeping or out on errands so child is home alone w/dad, sitter, etc. Dad's tend to nap & focus too much on the tv, & babysitters tend to be easily distracted gabbing on the phone.
Rule #3. NEVER let a pet anywhere near a child w/scissors. The poor pets don't balance too well if their whiskers have been "trimmed" (speaking from my own personal scissor-happy memory/experience as a child. LOL).

OMG!! This is just too funny. LOLOLOL

Or should I say I DIDN'T follow that rule....

As a child I cut the cats whiskers off. Poor thing kept bumping into walls and getting stuck in places she wouldn't have gone into if she had whiskers. My butt was sore for days from the spanking I got for doing that.

Something I'll NEVER forget.

She had a brand new housecoat, it still had the tags on it & he cut a big hole in it & then proceeded to cut up a sweater, blouse, a new pair of silk pants & the straps off her new heels!

and yes she was old enough to know better she was probably around 8 or 10 when she stuck the end of the metal scissors in the light socket it blew her up under my bed and the whole wall was back and i did laugh and we still laugh about it but it scared her to death

my son also cut the cat whiskers off so i think like someone says its a phase that the kids go through..i work at a school and i can not tell you the amount of kids i have seen with big chunks of hair missing and when i ask them or there parents what happened well they got into a fight with the scissors and the scissors won

I gave all my dolls & Barbies a shag haircut as that was the "in" style at the time. Ran out of dolls to give a haircut to so that's when I nailed the cat's whiskers. LOL Ken & my Quick Curl Barbie (she had small wires in her hair so I didn't think I could cut hers) were the only ones to escape my "beauty treatment". LOLOL I still have most of the Barbies to remind me of those days. LOL
I also used my mom's stick pins w/different colored heads to "pierce" my dolls' ears. LOL
