She has emphysema and COPD. She is home now...doing better. I feel sorry for the docs who had to try to help her. Yowza! (she is NOT the most patient/cooperative person in the world!)my brother took her to the ER today as she was having trouble breathing. They gave her a neb treatment and a 'shot in the butt'. After getting up, putting a kleenex over the fracture, going to the bedroom to get her insurance card, she calls my uncle, who promptly takes her to the hospital.
As they were wheeling her into surgery, she wouldn't go in unless she could talk to me first to let me know not to worry.
The nurses went and got my sister to let my Grandma use her cell phone to call me, which she did.
They ended up releasing her quickly as she of course knew more than her doctors :)
I of course told her if she was going to clean the top of her refrigerator, to not only take off her high heels, but her nylons as well.
She still cleans the top of her refrigerator.
