This is regarding me asking that people put answers to questions regarding tv shows in the message not the subject. I am NOT The only one who has asked this repeatedly over the many years I have been here on RS. I am just the one taking all the crap for doing so this time.

All I asked was that the answers be places in the message. Whoever doesn’t want to see the answer wont see it unless they open the message. THAT IS ALL. Is this really that big of a thing to ask?

Being on the west coast there are shows we see hours later and sometimes a day or two later due to sports games.

As for being invited to post. GMAFB. I was replying to the fact that I was told to just skip it. This was by someone who had not even posted in the tread before my post and only posted to tell me that. Now why is it ok for her to tell me that and me not to ask for people to post their message inside? I had something to actually ad to the conversation going on. She just wanted to tell me to skip a post. If I skipped it people may not realizes that they may ruin a show for other people.

Now that fathers are ruffled and people feel like that have to attack me for asking something simple, go for it. I think that it is pretty stupid that some people can say what they want, but I can’t ask that people just take a moment and make answers in a way that people don’t have to read them if they have not had a chance to watch what they have no had a chance to see. It is one thing going to a entertainment site looking for the information and another coming here to trade and seeing it in the subject line.

I actually don’t care for the show and don’t watch. I hardly watch tv, actually. I just want people to remember that just because it has been on in your time zones doesn’t mean that all time zones have see it.

1|1|I agree Robin, and more so, I watch alot (M)|kandywolf|kandywolf@gmail.com|11:37:42|03/03/2010|

of things on Free On Demand a day later due to my hubby going to bed early, there are shows he doesnt want to miss out on either.. he works from 4 am til sometimes 7 pm and it is impossible to see all the shows he likes until Sunday, so alot of them are on Free On Demand and we watch them Sunday when he is off, please people just put the spoiler inside so if someone doesnt want to know they dont have to. My 2 cents

I wish more people that felt the same way would speak out. I know there are many since I received emails this time and in the past. People just don't want to risk getting attacked or they don't want to get in the middle of things so they stay quiet.

Like i said before, I am just asking the answers be put in the message, not subject. I never asked that they not be posted. I really did not think this was so hard to understand and that big of a thing to ask. 3|1|Wow, people have their panties in a bunch today!!!!!!!!|pinchinpennies|pinchinmypennies@aol.com|13:06:19|03/03/2010|

I have to agree with you Robin. I don't watch any tv because I don't get any now that it is digital. But I think people can be more fair about how they post spoilers. But it is quite obvious that the ones that have seen the show don't care, just in the way they talk. They have seen it so it is no big deal to them if they spoil it for someone else. Those jumping on you sure are getting their panties bunched up for nothing!! 4|2|Thank you|RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|19:12:27|03/03/2010|

It really is not necessary to insult everyone's intelligence by saying, 'is it THAT hard to understand'. We all understand perfectly fine. It is NOT necessary to REPEATEDLY post 'don't put spoilers in the subject line'. We got your point the FIRST time. What you apparently do not understand is that this is not YOUR website and/or YOUR forum. Not everyone is going to 'fall in line' and post how and when you want. Not being mean, those are just the facts. I just suggested that when you see a post about a show you haven't watched, scroll past it (skip over it) or just avoid the General Section until you watch your show to save yourself the aggravation. Just want to give you a 'heads-up' for the next time someone (such as a newbie)'oops' and posts who 'won the bachelor' or some other 'live-or-die' information in the subject line.

and thanks to the other ladies for the concern about my panties!

edited to add for pinchinpennies: You are misinterpreting what I wrote. Please e-mail me privately if you need further explanation so we don't clog up the board any more with this.

Melinda

It's not Robin that is acting like she owns the board.

And Robin let it go, maybe if you were not determined to have the last word...... 11|1|My point in speaking to RCW (in the other thread ) was to state that everybody does respect the time frame of the show. I cannot remember the last time a spoiler appeared during the|suezz|clearys@comcast.net|09:39:16|03/04/2010|

airing of the show....or anytime shortly after. So no, it is not a difficult pov to comprehend. The person who posted the name this time apparently did so in the excitment of talking about the show THE NEXT DAY. The news was all over the media by that time so if someone was able to avoid the information available in the world, then you should be able to circumvent it here also. I am pretty sure that this issue was not worth yet a second thread....but I guess the poster did get the sympathy she was looking for.....so all must be well.

I took this post to mean that she felt singled out, that she could not say anything, and yet those that were posting in the other thread felt they could say whatever they wanted and they were right. I don't think she was looking for anyone's sympathy.

And myself I saw it the same way. Certain people in that post were rude, and acting like they were "all that and then some", so were they looking for attention? :)

She did get jumped on for making a simple request, the others in that thread felt they were right and she was wrong. All she asked was a simple request, and heaven forbid that a little courtesy be to much to ask!! I like trading on this board and have met many nice people, but I for one do not mind saying that I have met some rude ones too, and it always seems to be the same ones that are "TO GOOD" and their opinion is the "only" one.

I am not saying the spoiler was posted intentionally to ruin the show for someone else, and I don't think that it was intentionally done to upset anyone. But it is always the same excuses, it's okay because you can skip the post, or it's all over the net anyway.

Now I don't remember exactly how it was said, but something to the effect that Robin can't expect everyone to fall inline to what she wants, or at least meaning that. So my question is:

Why do we pick and choose wich requests to consider?

Quite a long time ago, there was a personal issue put on general chat, with some of the subject lines being "gross" to some. At that point it was asked that "personal issue inside" be listed as the subject, or something similiar so others could choose if they wanted to know or not and nothing "gross" be posted in the subject of the following replies. and people have respected that.

Why did we fall inline and respect that request and so many others? Why is it always the same ones that think they control the board? Why is it always the same ones that are always right? Why is it if certain people state their OPINION they are looking for sympathy?

Now I am sorry that this post is so long, and I have complained some more, but it just seems to me it is always the same thing, supposedly we all have the right to our opinion, but if you get the right people agreeing on something, then "NO ONE" better disagree with them other wise they end up being the crap on the stick.........

There is a reason why I like my animals better than most people.... 13|1|Okay, I seem to have missed the original post about this.|qponsandy|qpons4trade@ameritech.net|17:02:35|03/04/2010|

But, I think out of common courtesy for people who can't watch the shows either when they are on or the next day or even within the week - sometimes I'm someone like that, the "spoiler" word should be put in the subject line and then the spoiler should be in the body of the message.

I am a member of several xbox 360 game forums and most - you might be able to find a post or a few posts but not that many (and prove me wrong) - people will put the "spoiler" word in the subject line and then the spoiler in the body of the message and if I haven't played that particular level I will skip over the post. I see that on some of the forums for the tv shows I watch too. It does give me the opportunity to skip the post if I want and not ruin it for me if I haven't watched it.

I know you can skip over the posts here but if they put the spoiler - not the word "spoiler" - in the subject line it is too hard to skip over without reading it.

I'm sorry I got in late to this discussion. Just my opinion.
