Hi everyone,
I've been MIA for a few days here. I had to be taken to the ER on late Friday/early Saturday morning. We went out to eat Friday night and must've gotten some bad food. Around 8pm I started vomitting and was vomitting for almost 6 hours straight and the diarhea started about 11pm. I was in so much pain and felt so bad, then my heart started giving me trouble, my breathing wasn't so good and I had bad chest pains, so off to the ER I went. I had to have 3 EKGS, they wanted to make sure nothing was seriously wrong, also they put me on oxygen the whole time I was there. I was so nervous and felt so lousy. I was on IV's and meds and then they sent me home. The dr. said I could've gotten some bad food and that it probably started my heart problems from all the vomitting etc. Will and I are thinking it was the food, cause he started feeling really lousy too but he's doing better now. Anyways just wanted to let you all know what's going on, the dr. told me to stay in bed and rest. I am hoping to get online a little bit tommorrow if I'm up to it. I miss all of you. Hugs, Rebekka

3|1|Oh, food poisoning is the worst! I had it once, and that was the absolute sickest I've ever been.....glad you got it out of your system and got rehydrated at the ER with the IVs...you should feel lots better tomorrow. I've had the unfortunate experience of food poisoning & the "GI's" 1 time each. Not something I ever want a repeat performance of so I've gotten really picky about eating out anywhere & what I eat. OMG!! I remember feeling that death had to be more merciful cuz it was awful. :( I will not eat ANY kind of macaroni salad (or potato salad) or chopped beef steak unless I make it myself. And if anything tastes even remotely like tin/metal or simply not quite right - i.e. warm/room temp. if it's supposed to be cold, I won't touch it.
If you're pretty sure it was the food that made you ill, you should probably notify that restaurant & the Health Dept. Others may very well have gotten ill too & maybe the Health Dept. needs to check into that restaurant's food safety & sanitation methods. ;)

had it once and it was so nasty, couldnt eat or drink anything for days. I spent 4 days on the couch, was ready to go to ER when it finally slowed down. I was dehydrated Big Time.

I had food poisoning once when I was in my early 20's and it was horrid! I remember feeling so incredibly bad.
