So what do you know? We're debating on buying a sofa that has machine washable covers. The lady suggested we buy an extra cover in white then dye it. If you buy the white extra cover its $50 if you buy the colored ones it can be up to $150. Same size same thing just colored. It's 100% cotton. What can you tell me?

Oh sure, and let you know that I have a number of hippie looking tie-dye shirts so you can poke fun at me right back? That's okay. I can take it.
I've dyed cotton stuff on occasion and it is easy. We just buy the Rit brand dye in the grocery store and follow directions. I never use the washing machine because I worry about that, but a sink is easy and then you can rise it well and dry.
