they said that they would be out in the next couple of days to determine if they knocked it down as they are "still in the knock them down mode" then they will replace it with either a white or black mail box they will not replace the step 2 one that I have I told them well that is what I want lol I told him it is less than a year old They said they will put up the new post and the mail box but they don't do the kind I have as they don't withstand a plow lol WTH is teh differernce if they put up just the post and a box or cover said post with a hard plastic cover? I told them I would be calling town hall so I left a message there we'll see hwta happens 1|1|They should have to replace it with what you had there or equivalent....that's BS. And I dont think any standard residential mailbox is INTENDED to withstand being hit by a plow! Good grief, how idiotic.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|15:53:40|02/16/2010|

the name of the supervisor at the county public works but that turned out to be the same arse I spoke with the other day so we went around about it again he told me that the plow did not touch it that it was the weight of the snow in front of teh plow lol He still says they won't replace it with what I had so the plastic could crack I asked what the difference was if they both are on a wooden post he said if I wanted my mailbox on the post to have it down by the rd and they would place it over the new wooden post I told him I would contact the tv station He told me that even if it was a $5oo mailbox like some have or one of the brick ones that someone could hit and get killed by they still will not replace it with what they had He said to turn it into my insurance 7|3|People's Court?|sunriver|lithiasalt@cheerful.com|11:16:37|02/17/2010|

Seriously though, keep going up the chain of command until you get some resolution you can live with. That isn't fair that they won't replace it with what you had.

I didn't think any mail boxes were made to withstand being crunched by a snow plow...
V. 9|3|Oh, turn it in to your insurance, huh??? Yeah, so that way they arent out a dime! And you get to pay the deductible...how responsible of them....arses.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|16:59:32|02/17/2010|

the back door on it is gone Waiting for an email back from the tv station and Gary to get home to access what they did this is not over 10|2|County took ours out also, they said it was not their problem, they couldn't control the weight of the snow|mo6g02|crazylady47952@yahoo.com|17:59:14|02/17/2010|

Didn't even offer to fix it. Did it myself, they are not worth the hassle. I can't control the weight of the snow neither, but I can't put it anywhere else as this is where the post office says it must be, so then how does it become my fault that the snowplow threw the snow on it & knocked it down???? Kinda makes you wonder doesn't it???? Shoot if you turn it in on your insurance, it probably won't make your deductible or if it's like ours, it will give them another excuse to make my deductible higher or my premiums higher.
