I've been told yes by one postal worker and no by another. Does anyone know for sure. Thanks in advance! Carol 1|1|There should not be any difference between gift cards and a package. You can insure an envi... Why not a GC?|RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|14:25:35|02/15/2010|

I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief.
2|1|Link to info on usps.com.....does not exclude gift cards as contents of an envie or package....just says you can only insure for the actual value of the item(s) you are insuring.....|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|19:43:53|02/15/2010|

So, next time they ask if you want to insure the envie, just say yes and dont tell them what's in it....you have a receipt for the gift card, right? That's all you'll need to prove the value of the item in the envie should it be lost or damaged.
Joy :)

I was always told the policy is no to gift cards 4|2|i don't think they will replace gift cards|shellysmsmo|jpksms@sbcglobal.net|21:54:16|02/15/2010|
i'd double check..because even if you insure them...they may deny claims if something were to happen 5|1|You would have to send by Registered Mail|Arizona|vbj48@cox.net|10:00:38|02/16/2010|
and Registered Mail is pricey. Basically, it is the same as sending cash through the mail.
