my female started laying eggs..a day or so ago........just wondering if anyone has ever
had any luck with them hatching???
i need all the pointers and tips i can get

keep children and pets away, i had to put ours in the bedroom i leave the door open put the food on the floor next to the cage, they tend to bit to keep you away from the eggs, mine also likes to eat ash, gravel, and more greens when she is on her eggs and when she starts to feed the babies
have fun once they hatch.. i do hand feed mine after they are 5 days old :)

our male was hand fed.. ...but of course he was eating on his own when i purchased him...and my female was several months old when i got her.........so
i know nothing about raising baby birds..

i never use breeding boxes many do and like them, i just use a small cardboard box with soft cotton in it, but your first time it do not know if your bird just laid the eggs on the bottom of the cage and if you touch them the first time she has eggs she and the male may not go sit on them if touched, but in time you will be able to even pick up the eggs and look at them in front of a candle and see the baby(ies) in the shell it is amazing 6|1|YOU DO HAVE A MALE OF COURSE ?????????????//|JOYHAPPYONE|DAIDOLA5@AOL.COM|19:11:22|02/14/2010|

I was very surprised the eggs hatched. Had very good luck and babies are very social. Mom and dad did a wonderful job raising them. We never had the nest box.
