Okay now I'm really pissed. My dang old dog Sabrina (she just turned 8) is so stubborn and doesn't listen. Will was taking her out potty and also Sundance out, and she saw a skunk and chased it, well you know what happened next. UGH! I am so tired of crap happening and this was the last straw today :(

Several yrs. ago, when I had my little Toby, I let him out for potty that one night & he ran right smack dab into the back of a skunk. He was a housedog so I was horrified. Even tho he didn't come in contact w/anything afterwards except me & the bathtub, the smell still stunk up the whole house. 1st I tried a big can of tomato juice & when that didn't work, I then tried a vinegar bath. No luck w/either. Got some Skunk Away spray from the dog groomer in town & that didn't work either. After calling 3 different vets, one finally told me to use a mix of:
several drops of Dawn dish soap
a box of baking soda &
a bottle of peroxide
Put it all in a bathtub filled w/warm water & bathe the dog in it. It worked!! Both my son & I had to also wash in it & I had to re-do a basket of already clean laundry but by golly, it worked to get rid of that awful skunk smell. :)
