SOMEONE EMAILED ME ASKING WHY THEY WERE GETTING DRUG COMPANY EMAILS FROM ME.......LOOKS LIKE IT WENT TO EVERYONE IN MY ADDRESS BOOK THAT STARTED WITH A D
I DID NOT SEND THEM.............
SO I ASSUME MY ADDRESS BOOK WAS HACKED..........
BUT NOW WHAT DO I DO........RUN A VIRUS SCAN...?? CHANGE PASSWORDS?

here latly............i done a scan on my computer........found i had a trojan......the virus scan isolated it....then i deleted it.........and i changed my passwords....

It had "no subject", but there was a link in the email body that was basically a bunch of garbled letters so I didn't click on it & just deleted the email. There were a few people listed in the To: line tho & I've listed them below (I removed the complete email addy for privacy reasons) so you'll know who likely received it. It appears to be in alphabetical order from "m" thru "r".
Also, I read on one of the Yahoo Groups that someone else's email account must've also been hijacked cuz it was sending out smutty crap/links to some of the Yahoo Groups using her email addy....

my son says..he bets it came from Facebook...said when he was on facebook...ads kept popping up from some medicine company..
so i dont know...but i rechecked my computer again......and nothing is on it.....so my problem is solved...i changed all passwords...ect.......
as many people on here that has been saying they have had virus problems...i think it would be a good ideal for everyone on the board to run a virus check and then change all passwords...just

I got 2 emails this morning - 1 in my Hotmail & 1 in my Yahoo. They were from the same person & email addy (Donna - dfresnilla@yahoo.com) but names in the Subject lines are different (1 had Arlette Papleu & the other had Dawn Massey) & again listed a group of email addys in the To: line altho no group is the same in each of the emails I got. Each email contained a link & each link ends with /go.friend.php & then there's a person's name that isn't part of the link.
But I don't belong to Facebook at all & I use my Hotmail addy for just about everything. I don't use my Yahoo email addy EXCEPT for maybe 3-4 of the several YahooGroups I belong to. Everything else is my Hotmail addy so I'm guessing YahooGroups has somehow been hacked into & email addys are being "harvested" from there. :(
I did receive an email from Facebook this morning. It said it was a "reminder" that I'd been invited by Jackie Shipman to join Facebook. Legit or not, the weird part is that it said the invite was dated May 9, 2009, so why would I just be getting a "reminder" now? LOL

I found out from another trader that she received an email from dfresnilla@yahoo.com with Arlette Papleu in the Subject line. She saw that my email address was included so she asked me about it.
I did not actually receive the email, but it's probably because my server blocked it.
