For reading up close, her regular glasses (which include bifocal ones) don't really work so she uses reading glasses. However, those usually aren't strong enough. She needs something to magnify print like when reading newspaper, magazines, paperwork, etc. She ends up using a magnifying lense since for her, it seems to work better than reading glasses most of the time : (
