Okay....I know my son is 15, but I'm so sad that he's leaving for CA for a week without me....I just emailed my ex to talk to him about what I should pack him weatherwise.....and the travel arrangements...I have the itinery....but I want to make sure I have all the arrangements confirmed in advance....he's traveling with my ex husband's girlfriend and her two sons ....so he's not going all by himself...and I know his girlfriend well (we all grew up on the same street) so I'm not stressed about that....just a typical mom's anxiety...I'm sure my ex will be laughing and rolling his eyes while reading my email since he knows me so well LOL....oh well....a mom's job never ends....

What's the weather like in San Francisco??? 1|1|My son and soon to be DIL|lwhphd|loretta.harvey.phd@verizon.net|01:38:13|02/07/2010|

live in the Monterey area. It's been raining for weeks!

Have him take a raincoat or poncho or something similar. He'll need it. 2|1|I'd be a nervous wreck too...My 17 yo has been flying since he was 8 and he flew by himself, so I was even more nervous. When we lived in Cali, he would fly out to VA to visit his bio dad. SF is beautiful, I love the whole area up there :)|RebekkaVA|queen_vulture@msn.com|01:43:42|02/07/2010|

but I'm hoping they'll have some nice days to sight see and do touristy things....

I've never been and neither has my son, so hoping the weather will be with them......trying not to bite my nails totally off! 4|3|I think your son will have a blast, there's so much to do up in the Bay Area :)|RebekkaVA|queen_vulture@msn.com|01:57:54|02/07/2010|

This has been another soggy year. Highs below 60, lows in 40's. Bring rain gear, layers, and so on. 6|2|don't forget hat and gloves he'll need them|LindaOh|Martinl3@roadrunner.com|09:40:05|02/07/2010|

and spending time with his father. Hard to do I am sure, but you are letting him know it is OK to be with both of you.

once you get him on the plane (and you are safely home). put on your jammies, have a glass of wine and some chocolate :D

you can talk to him each night too, that will help

hope the weather cooperates and he has a good time 9|3|Linda--do you mean 'tenderloin section?'--I don't think it's for kids, though|mfrs|mfrs.sv.ca@gmail.com|22:39:13|02/07/2010|

I can't say, I know what you mean...because I don't. Luckily my kids have never had to
go stay with their dad. I'm so thankful for that!! I'm glad your son will not be alone.
I'm sure he'll have fun and enjoy visiting his dad. You just need to keep busy!! : )
