Okay....so I've been with the same insurance company for the past six years....I have a perfect driving record yet my insurance continues to rise...(I live in MA) and I've had enough!

I went on line and enrolled with Progressive,,,,then read horrible reviews so I cancelled....I read some pretty good reviews on Geico so decided to go with them.....I will get more insurance coverage and can include my dh on it and still save $300 a year....

So just wondering....does anyone have Geico or any experience with them for their car insurance...would love to hear personal experiences....the customer service was absolutely superb...I guess I'm just looking for confirmation that I went with a good company...thanks in advance for your input. 1|1|Anyone with Geico experience????|kellysp6637|frugalk76@aol.com|22:13:54|02/06/2010|

HORRIBLE when I had an accident. I then switched to Progressive and have been super happy with them for over five years. They've been very kind and helpful even in accident claim situations! So I hope the best for you...I guess everyone has different experiences with companies. But I for one can say that Progressive has been fabulous for me. 3|2|Thanks so much....I agree with you...I believe everyone has their own unique|kellysp6637|frugalk76@aol.com|22:23:19|02/06/2010|

They have always been fast with claims for us. Plus whenever we compare prices, no one can touch them-always a good rate.

... have heard from several people that Commerce is awesome. There are quite a few people at work who have Commerce and have never had a problem with an accident, etc. We have Metlife and have never hade any issues with them either.

Definitely sucks to live in MA sometimes -- it's like insurance companies think we have all the money up here!!! 9|2|I would suggest that you contact a number of companies in MA to get quotes. I use Safety for my home and cars, get a lot of different discounts and did have an accident and the service was wonderful|suezz|clearys@comcast.net|08:37:27|02/07/2010|

back in June of 2007 I was in a 3 car collision........... we had nationwide but since I was in the MIDDLE and the preson in front of me filed a PIC against us they raised our rated through the roof. we went to Progressive and had to lower our coverage in order to afford ins. 6 months later we switched to Esurance and got the same coverage we had with Nationwide for less than Nationwide had orginally charged us BEFORE the accident. We will renew in MMarch and since we've been with Esurance every year we go without incident our rates go down. When we bought our house our rates went down $150 a year! Now as far as Accident coverage Nationwide was the WORST! What a bunch of jerks! But I had a wreck back in 94 or 95 and had Progressive and let me tell you......... they were ON TOP OF IT! My car was seen in less than 10 hours and I had a check in less than 24! hey did not MAKE me go to a certain place to fix the car like Nationwide did and I really liked that. Esurance also offers the "customer choice" for auto repairs and that's part of the reason we went with them. I don't know how they handle claims as I've not had one with them (Esurance) but perhaps someone else has??????? I'd definately recommend checking around. For 5 years Allstate had the best rates for us perhaps they might for you? Good luck!

I recently did comparison shopping for my daughter. For her house, umbrella and two cars she saved over $1500.00 a year and got better coverages. 17|2|My husband had Geico when we first got married, hated them. For some reason, when he was settin up the policy, they called me to ask if I had a checking account, which I did, had it for few years, which was longer than DH had his so they wanted to use mine as proof of reliablity.|jen_ron|bugsmamma@earthlink.net|14:38:48|02/07/2010|

They asked for my account number and where I banked and told me it was just for the paperwork. A week later $400+ was deducted from my account and sent to them (now I was only 18 at the time and didnt know any better) Made my car payment bounce. DH had never authorized them to withdraw on my account, since he wasnt on it. When I called them and complained they told me that by givin them my checking information, I had given them permission to set up an automatic withdrawl, which was not the case, but I never did get my money back. In fact, my parents had to cover the money for my car payment and the bounced check. After that I closed my account and made DH put me on his. lol

We then switched over to State Farm, which his family has been with for years. We get awesome rates, low deductibles and their service is terrific. When I had two accidents within 3 monthes (neither of which was my fault, first one was a deer the other was a lady not stopping coming off the interstate) my rates didnt go up, I had to pay nothing for any of the medical and they even fought the other company to get the money to pay for all the medical and my car and my deductible. On top of it, with the way they fought, my friend and I each got a settlement from the other insurance company so we wouldnt sue them. LOL

Anyway, thats just my experience, good luck!

My parents have had Erie since I was a child, and DH and I went with them when we got married. They had the best rates of any company I called- State Farm, Geico- every time I called.
