You pay $2.75 for a Sunday paper? What city are you located in? The Sunday Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is $1.50 out of the rack. I subscribe to the daily and Sunday paper, so it is cheaper for me. But geez...I hope your Sunday paper is worth that price. 7|2|Ours are $1.50 & $2, thinkin of subscribin to the Sunday edition tho, get tired of drivin to town just to get the papers|jen_ron|bugsmamma@earthlink.net|00:03:31|01/31/2010|

you always hear noises in the dark when you work at night 12|1|$2 but.....|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|09:34:25|01/31/2010|
That's the actual price that's on the paper. I have found, however, that some biz places are greedy & will tack on an additional 25¢-50¢ of their own to each paper to make a profit. :-p I won't buy the paper at those places.
If you get your Sunday paper at a gas station or grocery store, go to that station/store a few minutes before closing time on a Sunday night or right when they open for biz on Mon. mornings & ask if you can have the left over papers that didn't sell. The station/store has to tear off a section at the top of each paper in order to get credit for it but most stations/stores will let you have all their left over Sun. papers for FREE. :)
Or, if you have a friend or family member who works there on Sundays, maybe you can ask him/her to stash the left over Sun. papers for you so you can pick them up later the next day, after work, or something, if the station/store closes later than you're awake at night or opens earlier than you're awake in the morning. ;)
ETA: Be friendly & get to know a clerk or 2 in the grocery store as this works w/magazines too (Good Housekeeping, Better H & G, Family Circle, Woman's Day, Globe, National Enquirer, Redbook, All You, etc.). Go in on the days they're due to get in the new issues cuz they remove all the old issues from the shelves in preparation for the new ones, & usually stash the old in a back room/storage room til picked up by the distribution truck. The store just has to tear the cover off each magazine in order to get credit for it but all the important content (coupons, recipes, etc.) is still inside the mags. ;)
This would be worth it for me to do w/Sun. papers if only there were some decent coupons in the SS flyers in my area. :-p
