He is a local guy and when he went to get out of his vehicle I told him sorry your not welcome here. (I have children) He asked why and I told him your a registered sex offender. I called corp. and they acted as if it was no big deal he was just there to fix the problem I informed them he is not allowed on my property and they said I would have to pay for another service call I dont think so you can take your dish to...What is this world coming to???? I also see this same man at our local elementary picking up his young children... The school says its out of there hands..whatever dont they know what a 1000 feet is???( the man was charged with raping a child between 13-15 yrs old ) Sorry girls I just had to vent...

I wouldn't trust him, either. I mean, he'll see the layout of the house, kids, etc. He really should not be allowed to have a job that goes into peoples' homes. As for Dish company not caring, there should be someone to complain to-maybe the police? Unfortunatly they probably won't do anything either.
I had an experience at the park a few years ago with a sex offender. I was there with my own kids and a friend's kids and a man was following my girls around in the structure (it was built like a fort). I yelled at him and he started to try to intimidate me but then fled. We ran to the car and I went to the local police station. Can you believe they barely batted an eye? They said it was, quote, "HIS RIGHT TO BE AT THE PARK". Oh really-is it his right to stalk little girls??? I went home and checked Megan's Law website and actually FOUND the guy listed and guess what? He lives RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from the playground. Nice, and the cops wouldn't even listen to me.

So that way if they bill you twice you will hopefully just have to pay once. I would have done the exact same thing you did and think you were totally right to complain to them. They should offer to send a second person w/o additional fees.
Go up the ladder higher and complain if you need to on this one!
