I've been waiting for this, they told me my hair would be gone before my next chemo treatment, which is next Monday the 25th. It was coming out in little strands all week, got it cut really short to help, now today it is really coming out, I am bald on top of my head and the sides but still have my bangs and the back is not coming out much yet! It is yucky, I have hair all over everything, started while I was in the shower and had a big mess to clean up before my kids got in there. Hope it all goes today, then I can move on.

This is driving me crazy, I have little patches of hair on my head, 80% gone, but it looks so much worse with these little patches than if it all just came out! I wasn't looking forward to bald, but it's gotta be better than this! I never realized it could take this darn long.
And the wigs are driving me crazy, my head is so small, I just can get them adjusted right. When they are tight enough, hair from the sides is covering my face and I can't push it back or it shows the wig, and it is a big lump in the back of my head. I am going to see if I can find somebody to help me out to see if I am doing something wrong or if it's just my head is small (when my son was born, we were sent to a neurologist coz his head is small, the specialist said it is genetic, my DH's head is in the 5th percentile for men, and my head is so small it is not on the chart for women! So with no hair too, these wigs just don't seem to fit me right.

I figured they were all the same size, they have little things to adjust them, but they just don't seem to fit me right.

15|4|Sue, maybe you can have DH shave the rest of your hair. Over the course of the next week or so, your head may still shed tiny pieces of hair if you itch it, so we used a lint roller on my head during those times. Seems funny but it really helped. As far as wigs go, sounds like you need a small. If you plan to wear a wig, you'll probably want to get fitted for one with someone who has experience with wigs. Check the American Cancer Society, they sometimes have wig closets in areas and you can get measured and try on a bunch of different wigs/colors/styles, and they help find you a good fit.|tonyas30|tonyas30@hotmail.com|10:32:56|01/22/2010|

The ones I have were gifts from an RS friend, and donated by a beauty salon. Maybe I can swap out the ones I have for ones that fit me better somewhere. I will have DH shave my head when he gets back on Sunday from his camping trip, if it hasn't come out yet.

I hate to do that, I already have 4 wigs, they just don't fit right. My mom called around and found a lady at a wig shop who says she can adjust them so they will fit for $15 each, so next week we're going to go over there and have her look at them. If she can't make them fit right, I will see if these other ones have any small ones. This lady said they make "petite" wigs but she doesn't carry many, usually orders them as needed. So I don't know if these would have any that would be better, and I do like the looks of the ones I've already gotten.
