I know a lot of you are around my age and I bet some of you remember the show "Party of Five". I got the 2nd season and I have been enjoying re-watching them. It has been such a great escape! When it was on the air I was a brand new first time mom and I watched it each week. I guess somewhere deep in my sub conscience I link that show to feeling happy (although on the surface it was not a particularly happy show, but well written).

Anyone else remember it? Have you seen it since the 90's? Is there an old show that makes you feel comforted somehow?
1|1|I remember Party of Five, but only watched it a handful of times...I know how you feel though, I usually watch old movies, they give me comfort :)|RebekkaVA|queen_vulture@msn.com|16:31:33|01/15/2010|

I had forgotten all about the old ma and pa kettle movies. I love those too.
And the Waltons. I don't think my kids know who John Boy is. Time to visit my local video store (they have a really super collection of older movies/tv shows so I bet I may get lucky).

Looks like we will have terrible weather this week (CA is really getting hit hard on the coastal areas), so it will be a good week to continue to hole up. I feel a little guilty that I have spent so much time with movies/tv lately, but I needed a break and it has been good for that.

Thanks for sharing your favorites,
V. 9|2|Well we are a little different but we watch M*A*S*H, MacGyver, Gilligan's Island, Cosby Show, The Muppet Show, Get Smart, Looney Tunes|Kristy|mi3zons1@yahoo.com|12:11:50|01/18/2010|

Just to name a few (LOL) I love to watch when I find them on:

The Waltons
Little House on the Prairie
All in the Family
The Jeffersons
I Dream of Jeannie
Bewitched
I Love Lucy (Lucy & Desi, Lucy & Mr. Mooney, etc.)
Carol Burnett
Green Acres
Beverly Hillbillies
Cheers
The Charlie Brown ones (Christmas, Great Pumpkin, etc.)
Frosty the Snowman ones
Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer
The Grinch
Gunsmoke
The Brady Bunch
Little Rascals
Dallas
Flamingo Road
Facts of Life
Diff'rent Strokes
Good Times
Lawrence Welk even! LOL
Ed Sullivan
My Three Sons

Most of the above were good, clean shows that were funny (or at least interesting), relaxing or suspenseful & enjoyable to watch. I just can't find that much at all anymore in the shows that are on nowadays as I don't care for any of the "reality" shows. :(

There were some good, newer ones that came out but were unfortunately cancelled & I was very disappointed. :(

8 Simple Rules for Dating My Daughter (I truly cried when John Ritter passed away)
What About Bob
Moonlight

I'm sure there are more but these 3 are on the top of my head right now cuz I watched them faithfully. ;)
