Went up to the town where my husband was deploying from on Fri night. My daughter and I spent the whole weekend with him. His parents and brother came up on Sat for the going away ceremony and they stayed overnight. This morning we took him to the armory at 6am, they left on the bus's at 7. Gone to NJ and then on to OK for some extra training and then they are headed to Iraq. So he's gone, and we're sad (obviously). Im just drained.

I know it's so hard on families when their spouse/loved one deploys. I will be praying for Ron and also you to give you the strength to get through this year while he's gone. Honestly, right now Im just fooling myself. "He's in NJ, hes just at training", mostly refusing to even think that hes headed to Iraq yet again. This time is a bit better than last time. This time I am friends with several other of the wives whose hubbies are going, last time there was no one who really understood since I had no contact with anyone else's families. Also, DD is older and more able to cope (I think aka no screaming for me when I go to the bathroom and stickin her fingers under the door lol). I will say, its hard to get good deals in this area (other than the CVS deals) so for all you stockpilers, I will be hittin ya up your FS lists for things to send to him so get to shopping now! lol
