Holy crap... I just posted a couple of flat rate boxes and it went from $9.85 to $10.20. WHEN? Did I miss something?

This nickel and diming is really starting to hurt big time. It's going to kill the trade business. Between that and Paypal... I don't know. I see the end... 1|1|I agree...it's gotten to the point now that when I need to send gifts for birthdays, etc...|kellysp6637|frugalk76@aol.com|10:04:39|01/09/2010|

I've stopped picking out cute things I see at the store and just buy gift cards...it's ridiculous how much it costs to send packages....costs keep going up and service is steadily getting more unpredictable and poorer.....

I really don't like giving gift cards as presents....as I think picking out presents is fun and more personal...but by the time you add in the cost of the present plus the shipping is can get very expensive so I have now begun to just give gift cards.... 2|1|last Monday it went up--last Sat. I was at PO to get a quote & was told it was going uo on Mon.|SandyC|sacoates1@msn.com|10:19:46|01/09/2010|

I too didn't get the memo--all I heard earlier was that a 1st class stamp was not going up in 2010. Of course, as we all remember it went up 2 cents last spring.

I'm trying to do some comparisons. I'm also going to check with UPS.

What was the weight of your package? 4|2|Parcel post is sometimes cheaper if the package is smallish and relatively light....but they go by size of the box and the weight, so often times Priority is cheaper, but sometimes not by much....I can't count the number of times I've had to forego a stockpile trade because the shipping kills the deal :(|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|10:34:24|01/09/2010|

FedEx for shipment. I compared prices between USPS, UPS, and FedEx to send a next-day Christmas pkg. The USPS wanted over $40 to send the pkg. next-day EXPRESS. UPS wanted a price of $60+ for the same service. However, FedEx only wanted $24 for next-day delivery by 10:30am. FedEx even had one earlier delivery time (8:30am) for $28. Of course, I went with FedEx.
