I am not there yet (oldest is 15), but she wants to move to Egypt of all places! So, in a couple years I may be needing your empathy back.
Take some time to do some kind things for yourself. Maybe re-do one of the rooms in your home or take up a new hobby? Something that might help you stay busy will probably help.

It's rough but each day it will get a little better. Keep busy, it really does help. I cleaned things that hadn't been cleaned forever, painted a room, getting ready to paint 2 more, sorted all my Christmas decorations, all 30 years worth of accumulation & let me tell you, I have a lot LOL!! Even bought a few books to try to read again, haven't had time to read for years, it's still a little lonesome on days when it's raining or snowing or I'm really tired but it's getting better & the silence is nice after 4 years of little ones. It will get better I promise.

I talked to him an hour ago from NY. His plane leaves late this afternoon so you know I'll be tracking that thing all night long. I can't believe how much I miss him; how awful I feel and how my heart physically hurts. The cat and I have been snuggling all morning and watching the snow. So many people have told me that I should feel so proud of what he has accomplished and to take pride in knowing that without my love and support he would not have been able to do these things... and then I think to myself "damn you Robin -- why?" Why didn't I freeze him at 8 years old? I kept myself busy yesterday getting new brakes, meeting a friend for lunch, getting my hair done. Today I figured I'd tackle other things but I can't seem to get moving. Maybe this afternoon.
