mine is going to myrtle beach with my mom and my 2 boys
and seeing the looks on their faces when they did see how big the ocean really is
was soo nice to spend time with mom
we also had a great times in going to tennessee this year

in the hot sun I hated it while we were there but looking at the pictures it was great!
the mountains here in nc are so beautiful!
(It didn't hurt that they let us in the first day without our tickets and let us use them the second day, becuase wow! they were pricey!!! )
Plus the cowgirl who was on our train had a silly rhyming name like lana from montana or something and dashi really enjoyed the 'native american' attack on the train, and all the horses and whooping it up, and taking a picture with sir topham hat, it was hilarious...
My secret dream is to go back to asheville this coming year... yeah!... want to see if we can do it with the kiddo, the last time was way before his conception... come to think of it, that was the last time I went anywhere.... to california, on a cruise... omg... the only places i've been in 6 years revolve around elmo, thomas, dora, the magic kindgom. sea world, universal studios and family get togethers... omg, kids killed the travel industry!

Finding my husband's sister and her girls after not seeing them for over 25 years. That was such a blessing. I've been searching for them for nearly 12 years and I finally found them. We have been there to visit twice this year, each time we stayed a week. Our trip to Dollywood was so memorable, we spent a week in Pigeon Forge and it was wonderful and much needed vacation for us. Also we got our own place in June, that was awesome, because we moved out to VA from AZ in November 2008 and stayed with our son til we got our place. Finding a wonderful church, that has been a big blessing to us. My oldest son's wedding this past summer/fall. I thought he'd never get married. LOL. Now we are expecting our first grandchild in March 2010. Gosh I could go on and on, although we've had rough times too, I've couponed, pinched pennies, watched sales and it got us through 2009. I've been writing since I could first hold a pen, but as my kids came along it always seemed like my projects were shelved. Before G was born I had a good part of a manuscript about the Oregon Trail and once she was here I just could not seem to get back into it again. Every New Years I would resolve that it would be the year that I finally wrote a book and every year I just could not seem to find enough time or energy to actually do it.
This was my year! I have a finished manuscript and I am looking for a publisher. So that is my resolution for 2010 is to get this one in print and in the meantime I am also working on a whole different project which I am also committed to finishing. It feels so good just to finish one!!!
