Ok, I made caramels & for some reason, it didn't turn out for me this time, won't set. :(
I hate to toss a cake pan half filled w/caramel "pudding" so my question is this:
Could I add some milk choc. chips to it, bake it in the oven til the choc. chips melt & then cool - would that help the caramel "pudding" set so I could then cut into small squares?
I was thinking it would turn out to be similar to Rolos or some time of choc./caramel candy. LOL

That's what I was thinking - that I'd have to put the caramel "pudding" into a jar or other container & just use it as ice cream topping or something.
I'm so mad at myself cuz I used a different recipe to make the caramels this year & I guess I shouldn't have done that. Grrr! Short of having it boil a sticky caramel mess all over my stove top, I could not get the mix to reach 250° on the candy thermometer for nothing. And despite having the pan sit out in the garage overnight w/about 15-20° temps, it's still only the consistency of a jell-o mold. Just not quite a jiggly. LOL
