I wouldn't mind a white christmas if I could stay home and just look at it through the window, but the idea of driving in it does not thrill me in the least.

We had snow & altho could've used a fresh dusting, ice mixed in w/it wasn't necessary.
We're under a Winter Storm Warning from tonight thru Sat. morning, w/some parts maybe getting more than a foot of snow alternating w/some freezing rain, freezing drizzle &/or sleet. :(

Well now, it may just snow tonight in parts of northern, north-central and Western Arkansas. I live in the north-central area...where the weather service is predicting an inch or two. Just to my north, 1-3 inches, and in the NW area of the state, 4-6 inches. I hope snow actually manages to cover the ground tonight, although I won't hold my breath. It has rained like crap the last two days now. The state is floating as it is. 14|2|It's been raining here, melting all the snow.|HONEY11|HONEY1@AMERITECH.NET|17:57:09|12/24/2009|

This morning it was in the 40's and raining. The temp starting dropping and by noon it was sleeting and wind was 30 mph. As the afternoon went on it got colder the sleet has turned to snow and the wind gusts are now 40 - 60 mph. Not only are we under blizzard warning, but right now we are having thundersnow. It's bizarre...it is snowy, windy, and there is thunder and lightening./we probably have about 6" of snow now ( hard to tell with the wind blowing it around) and 12" is predicted before it's over tomorrow.

We are supposed to travel 2 miles to have Christmas with the kids and grandkids, but they are at ds inlaws in Oklahoma City and will probably be stranded there tonight. Most of the interstates and turnpikes have been closed, so they probably won't make it home until tomorrow sometime. At this point I'm not sure when or where we'll have Christmas, but I'm just glad we are all warm, dry and safe.

Other ds is working tonight, but has plans to stay with a friend close to work, so he shouldn't have to be out in it either.
