make them like they used to--anyways we had a Maytag and got another Maytag to
replace it but I know it will not last 32 years but I doubt I need it to last that

#1 was Avacado Green!!! #2 Maytag only lasted 15 years and they just got #3 (a Whirlpool this time) two months ago.
Yep, they don't make any appliance like they used to!

I think just about every major appliance (fridge, stove, washer/dryer) in my parents' house was avacado green at one time. LOL My mom even painted the kitchen sink cabinet that color to match the appliances. :( LOL
Before that I believe there was that icky coppertone brown phase & then the harvest gold after the avacado green. When I moved here the year before, the kitchen stove & range hood here were those old harvest gold ones as was the porcelain double kitchen sink. LOL I also noticed that under the current, off-white linoleum kitchen floor is a harvest gold lino. I replaced the stove & range hood w/a nice, white one & replaced that horrid old sink w/a stainless steel one. :)
