Today I had to take my sons ferret to the vet. I can't afford too, but I know she
was sick. Well it end up being cancer. She was six yrs old. I guess cancer is common
in ferrets that age. We rescued her when she was a yr old. Broke my heart to put her
to sleep. So beside spending $60 of my electric bill money for the vet bill, and then
having to tell my 8 yr old his ferret died..was not a good day.
Can I holidays get any worst..

When you have a dog put down or cat they put an iv in...they go peaceful about instantly.
well with a ferret or small animal they cant find a vein like that, so they they give them
a shot and it takes 3-5 minutes for them to pass. So I held her and could slowly feel her
heart stop. What a sad feeling. I guess I am just a softly. That I probably why I have
seven rescue cats...thank god for free and cheap cat food.

peace and healing for you both. When I had to put my Clemmy, bunny, down a few years ago, I went thru that. I held her, kissed her and sang to her as she passed. You did a wonderful thing by not letting your precious furbaby suffer. I truly believe that somehow, someway, they know we let them go with love.
