I thought that stuff was pretty durable, I use it and have never had that happen before, but now I will be more cautiour! Sorry for the mess, I bet youhave lots of little shreds of glass to clean up:(

I accidentally put a dish of au gratin potatoes on a hot burner. It shattered, with glass and potatoes everywhere. Took a long time to clean up, so I feel for you!

I am so sorry this happen to all of you, but your post will help keep others safe from injury..My nieces babys always play on the kitchen floor while she is cooking, just the thought of glass hitting her or for the glass to hit the babies scares me....glad I can provide the info you all posted and keep them from harm..
