Fire guts trailer
A fire Monday at a Viewcrest Village trailer destroyed a family’s home, damaged two trailers next to it and killed the family’s kitten.
My nephew and my 3 babies... ages 5, 4, & 2. Had to be rushed out of the trailer yesterday and thank god all of them are ok. The trailer
is destroyed and the only thing they came out with was what they had on. : ( I can't get home quick enough. It was my mom's birthday yesterday too.
I am so thankful all are ok. It was an electrical fire. The bed that was up against the wall apparently caught fire from an electrical outlet.
I had to work yesterday..didn't have my cellphone and didn't find out until late last night about everything...It made me sick...
I went to the Dominion Post in morgantown, wv to get the story.. but apparently I can't read the story without subscribing.
So just remember....always tell the people you love and care about how much they are appreciated...because you never know when it will be too late.
I am just so thankful that it's just the trailer that is gone...we can replace everything else.
my nephew was upset because friday they just got their goodies for the kids from the salvation army. But I told him not to worry about that.. they
will have a christmas....with aunt shelly coming to town....all will be ok...
A trailer is destroyed and two other damaged in a fire in Monongalia County, Monday.
Firefighters were called to the fire in Viewcrest Village around 10:30 a.m.
It only took about ten minutes to extinguish the flames, but it was too late to save the trailer and the family's kitten.
The two surrounding trailers were damaged, but they're still livable.
Granville Fire Chief Butch Renner says the fire was electrical and started between the bedroom and living room walls.

No..we will be ok... I've helped all these other kiddos..last thing I'm going to do is not help OUR kiddos.
They've had a tough time.. my nephew got laid off from the mines over 7 months ago..now is only working
at a laundry place.. and with 3 kids....I can't say they barely get by..they don't.. BUT they will be ok.
me and john were going to get carpet in our living room for each other for christmas.. BUT we are going to
put that on hold and spend the money helping them out. But thank you for offering..that means alot to me!! Hugs!!

and thankful that they were able to get out without injury. It is so sad to hear a story like this any time of year but to not have their home/familiar surroundings for the kids at Christmas is even more difficult to read.

they should be able to get some help from the Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc. These organizations were right there to help my Mom, stepfather, little sister and 2 little brothers at the time. They also had an electrical fire, but there's was in the attic and a neighbor woke them by banging on their door in the middle of the night. They got out just before the roof caved in.
My mother's glasses were even left at the side of the bed they got out so quickly.

Dominion Post as I am only 20 min. from your nephew. I can send it out to you if you would like to read it. Very sad. Do to postage cost, I will just send the article, not the whole paper. :( Same thing happened to my neighbors on Dec 8th. They have 3 kids ages 3, 14, & 16. The community here has really come through to help. I have zero $$ right now but was able to put a box together for them of stockpile stuff. That made me feel really good to be able to help.
