UGH! Another credit card going to 29.99%. It's been almost of all them! We are closing the accounts to keep the lower rates, but now our big card is doing the same! Has anyone had good experiences dealing with a credit counseling service? Bankruptcy has to be a last option because it goes on my professional license.

We are just scared to do the credit counseling service because we are afraid there will be no way to pay for emergencies if we agree to not obtaining any more credit (for things like the AC in the house going for good, it's on it's last leg - you can not survive in FL without AC!), or if we have a car problem). We had a paid off car that someone hit right after we paid it off and totalled it! If that happened again, we could not survive on 1 car because of work obligations and taking the kids to and from school.

Thanks.
