Michelle Duggar, star of TLC's "18 Kids and Counting" gave birth to her 19th child, a girl, Thursday night via emergency C-section, although she wasn't due to give birth until spring, TMZ reports. Josie Brooklyn Duggar weighed in at 1 lb., 6 ounces.

Michelle was airlifted to the hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas last weekend suffering from gallstones. Network representatives told People magazine that the pain was generating some contractions.

"We're told Michelle is resting comfortably and the baby is 'stable' -- although she's in the neonatal intensive-care unit at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences," TMZ reports.

The rep adds, "The most important thing right now is for Mom and baby Josie to get as much rest as possible. The family is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes during their recovery."

Michelle and her husband Jim Bob issued a thank-you video to fans who were concerned with the reality star's health.

This is the Duggars' ninth daughter. The couple also became grandparents in October when son Josh welcomed a baby girl Mackynzie.

baby 19 could be a real awakening as most premeies that early have lots of problems. say your prayers and keep your fingers crossed.

Remember your manners: when god answers your prayers----- say thank you. 2|2|Wow, sorry to hear; NICU's are amazing places though...|couponshelmd|couponshel@comcast.net|11:41:18|12/11/2009|

So I am wishing them all well and keeping them in my prayers.... our sons were that little and due to some miracles, they are just fine now (well, they are naughty but I think that is my poor parenting skills, lol) 3|3|LOL, Shel that is just a "three" year old thing...|sunriver|lithiasalt@cheerful.com|12:07:11|12/11/2009|

We should call them the tumultuous threes. I think four is a pretty good year, or least that has been my experience so far. Of course G just turned 4, just two weeks ago and she is on her best behavior for the Holidays, so I could be tricked. Ask me in January.

They sure can wear us out, can't they? I can't imagine two grace monsters, so I am in awe of you and your parenting skills. For real!

? 7|4|From my understanding, the Duggars are totally self-sufficient, do not rely on any state programs at all....and they do make money from their show, I'm sure they'll be paying their own bill, that's how they roll.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|15:34:54|12/11/2009|

that sounds really dumb.

Being self-sufficient doesn't mean you can't have medical coverage. 10|7|Maybe they don't have insurance that doesn't mean you pay for their care Maybe the Dad makes eniugh |teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|17:45:54|12/11/2009|

BUT I tend to think it's pretty negligent that they don't have insurance, given the large number of children, let alone the fact that the parents themselves are not insured. It doesn't seem like that is fair to the children. 13|2|It is such a miricle to hold a 1lb + baby on your hand :D|petunia1|sweetpea39@comcast.net|21:59:08|12/11/2009|

One of my close friends had a preemie, but we did not see him until he was more than 4 lbs and that seemed so teensey tiny to me. All of my babies were 9-11 lbs, so I was used to the opposite of small. It is really humbling to realize what a high survival rate the littlest babies now have. Thankfully! 16|1|This was her 4th c-section. That is hard to recover from (at least from my own experience)...|sunriver|lithiasalt@cheerful.com|22:49:11|12/11/2009|

According to a goggle search
Larry king live show on April 13, 2009 and People Magazine they do have medical insurance that has a 2,500 deductible about $417 a month. But it does not cover some things like maternity. Also they said they have dental insurance that covers about half the dental cost.

They should not have a "huge" bill from all the hospital care for the little baby. Of course that depends on if their insurance has a ceiling on it. Some policies you have a certain amount then everything above that is covered completely.

My mother's mom had 21, NO multiple births, mind you this was many years ago. My mom was 65 yrs old in this past May and she is approximately in the middle of the line up. AND my grandfather died when the youngest child was 1 yrs old of a massive heart attack and my grandmother was left to raise them all alone, she NEVER remarried and as far as anyone knows she never had a boyfriend. She did pass away approximately 6 yrs ago :o( at the age of 88 and she was in perfect health until about 2 months before she passed away.

A THOUGHT TO PONDER: "On the road of life there are passengers and drivers, which are you?"

22|2|Not commenting on them...just saying a more realistic idea of the cost for a preemie in the NICU is over $1,000,000 especially a micro preemie that will be there for 3 months or more. Paying half of that would overwhelm almost anyone's budget.....well, except maybe Oprah and Bill Gates.|Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|21:52:05|12/12/2009|
