Okay....I REALLY try hard not to complain...but I just got my yearly "Christmas Letter" from my SIL and the front side of it is full of horrendous and downright shameful bragging...while the opposite side is full of complete pics of the kids....now don't get me wrong...I love seeing pics of kids...but this letter is OVER THE TOP.....I seriously laughed for about ten minutes at the sheer audicity some people have.....YIKES....how the heck is this even a Christmas Greeting????? 1|1|I get one like that every year... it is amazing|couponshelmd|couponshel@comcast.net|14:51:21|12/09/2009|
There are just a few girls from my college that keep in touch... and then there is this one girl who only ever writes at Christmas. The rest of us call it her "annual brag letter" and pretty much just goes on and on about how well things are going for her and her perfect family.
I think I can relate to you, though, thinking it is just best to laugh it off and know that these people are superfical. I always think that the purpose of that type of letter is to make the author feel better about him/herself. I end up laughing and tossing the letter.

My SIL's letter sounds sooo fake and just cheesy. funny thing is that she sends the letter to our family and HER friends but includes a whole paragraph about US in her letter. So, she basically gets to summarize for everyone else how our year was?! but then decided how horrible it would sound if I listed only the good things that happened and how depressing it would sound if I discussed all the bad things the happened for the year.
