My new (6months or less) Dell can get wireless at hotspots, etc....
Occasionally for work, (out in rural areas with NO wifi) , I need internet.
What's the best way to go about getting
wifi on my laptop without having to "find" someones signal.
There's nothing for miles and miles, so I'm guessing it works off of a signal like cellphones.
Would someone please enlighten the "tech" challenged.

How and where do I go? and is it going to cost much? 1|1|You can get wireless cards for travelling like that...Verizon has them, I would imagine other wireless companies have them too....call your cell phone carrier to see what they have to offer :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|14:33:45|12/08/2009|

A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.
--Thomas Jefferson--

You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

2|1|any idea of costs? is it a monthly plan deal like your cell bill or a prepaid (pay as you go or use it ) thing?|carmenanderson|cloudcars@verizon.net|21:42:01|12/08/2009|

I, too, consider myself "technically illiterate"...lol

So, I rely on the "geeks" to steer me in the right direction...

Hope this helps!
