i was working in the living room and all these ambulances and police went flying by my house
then a while later i heard a chopper go flying over it was medical chopper picking up the boy
my cousin is an investigator for the county and my aunt called my mom and she told me what had happened
so sad to think a son was shot cuz his dad thot he was a deer
no wonder i dont' like hunting too dangerous
terrible terrible
i hope he survives it all they said he was shot in the neck so who knows what will happen
i pray to the good Lord he can pull him thru all this and i feel for his family too

My husband is a big hunter and they are always wearing orange so they can spot each other. But that's the law here in Pa. About the only accidents we have are people falling out of tree stands.
I hope that the boy is fine. Our prayers are w/ him.

the one who wasnt......took his son...i think he was around 10.....anyway him and son was watching for squirrels....and he saw some in another tree.....he told the kid to sit right there and dont move
of course.......hes a kid.....what did he do..he moved..........the guy..saw something moving just over a little hill.....looked like a squirrels tail..he said....he shoot.......with a shotgun....
at what he thought was a squirrel running across the hill..........it was his son.......of course we all know u dont shoot at anything on the ground unless u can clearly see what it is.........
anyway the other guy......carried this child about 1 and half miles out of the woods..to a house......and they called the emergency squad and ambulance......of course he was dead from all the blood lose
when they got there..........he had hit him in the side of the head..........so sad...i dont think i could live with myself......
here we have law about wearing orange in deer season.......my husband would never let me go deer hunting without having all my hair under a hat.......it was so close to color of a deer..he was afraid someone would shoot me.........in-expereinced hunters...sometimes tend to be gun happy and shoot at anything that moves.........

i hope the boy is ok now glad i live in ca and never even thought about deer hunting you do that for sport not to eat right? i don't like sarah palin either. free the deers* we had tree sitters here in berkeley maybe i should go sit on the deers probably would get shot.
