4|1|Glennie it is so good to see you post!|sunriver|lithiasalt@cheerful.com|12:24:22|12/05/2009|Dashi got sick in his last week of school before track out and this week was supposed to go back but is sick again.
I had a bit of a bout with depression, but with a little help from my friends got over it. Every day I have to say
that it could be worse - credit card debt, old car, the needs of my son, there are times when I feel overwhelmed - we
realized that even though he can talk and eats now (wow, does he eat, he is over 4 feet and weighs about 95 lbs, and is 6)
he is still about 4 years old in terms of development. We are definitely doing home school, got over the first hurdle with
this weeks IEP meeting. He would not pass first grade now due to absences, but is really good at math and doesn't get much
from reading.
Anyhoo I decided to just have faith, to have some trust that I won't shuffle off this mortal coil leaving my son with no one to
care for him, no education and no home. As I write this I begin to laugh because when things look the darkest is when they are
about to change and get brighter. So, I'm gritting the few teeth that I have and getting on with the day to day.
I said all this to say thank you all SO MUCH (now I'm crying lol) for being friends, caring, a lifeline, someone to listen, even
when we are disagreeing (thank you Joy jr) you all mean the world to me and I hope we can all always be here for one another. 1|1|Glennie, you are one of the most amazing people I know...your strength and faith is inspiring, your love and devotion to Dashi brings warmth to my heart....and a good debate between friends is always exhilirating! I have to echo everything Joy said. :) You & Dashi are in my thoughts & prayers every day, & along w/a few others here, have made your way into the safe, hidden place in my heart that is reserved only for special people. :) I call it my "atrial anti-septal secret stash". LOL
We need a good gab session! :)

You are always in my prayers too.
I'm glad you are "back on the other side" with the darkness. I know that the University of Dashi has been teaching you so much. The curriculum probably changes minute-by-minute and I know your professor has mood swings (The University of Miss G is taught by someone with many of the same personality traits, so I understand and empathize!), but having a teacher like that will only keep you young, keep you thinking fast and keep your sense of humor stretched. It might not be the course you signed up for, but all in all I think you agree that you are mostly pretty good and like Joy said your faith inspires so many of us. I know you probably never thought you wanted to sign up for being known as "inspiring" and maybe "someone with an easy life" sounds a lot more attractive most of the time, but we are all glad to know you.
