partly because of my 4 year old "spy", so I have to wrap things at times when I am already worn out and ready for bed myself. I have these kids who think they are night owls and it seems like it is only getting worse. The middle one is in bed by 9, but lately even she is still awake at 10:30-11 pm and the 4 yr old won't even settle down until about 10 lately. Me, I want to be in pajamas and in bed by 9 (Never happens, but I can dream!)

I did some wrapping of kids presents and because they are so nosy I decided to trick them. I put the middle daughters name on all presents that are for the 4 year old and the 4 year old daughters name on all presents that are really for the 9 year old. So even though they got a little peek at the pile, they have no real clue of what's really theirs. The night before Christmas I will make new tags, or maybe I will just tell them their new names on Christmas morning. We shall see... 2|2|Good idea!|Mumzie|luckiestbamboo2@aol.com|14:07:37|12/01/2009|

and since I buy alot right after Xmas for the next year---last year I went into the "gift closet" and had all these wrapped and tagged presents ready for Xmas and had completely forgotten what was in them (so I was as surprised as they were Xmas morning). This time I was a little smarter, I wrapped and tagged everything, but then put a sticky on it that told me what was inside.

The things I am buying now for this year, I have tried to wrap the same day I buy it so I don't get behind. We'll see how much longer that lasts!!!

A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

6|2|I trick my dd. I dont wrap anything and I dont put anything out under the tree for her until after she goes to bed on Christmas Eve. Everything is wrapped in bag's and hidden in places she cant reach so she cant even TRY to figure out what it is! LOL|jen_ron|bugsmamma@earthlink.net|19:49:46|12/01/2009|
