I have been saving all my paypal (small things I have sold here and there) to be able
to buy a video game for my son for Christmas. The game cost $60 new. I couldn't afford that. So
I bought a used one on ebay. I paid $32 shipped for a used one on ebay. Took all the paypal
I had been saving up. But I know it would make my son happy on Christmas morning. Well....the
game came and doesn't work. It is scratched. I emailed her and I don't think she is going to refund my money.
Questions....Can I go throught paypal to try to get my money back? Will they help me?
If so how long can that take? Would I have the money back before Christmas?

was it listed as scratched or anything in listing? or just used?
paypal will make you send her the game back with dc# and when its showed delivered they will refund u ,sometimes tho you may have to call to make sure they refund you as soon as its delivered. Who knows how long that will take tho,good luck!

It is call of duty for xbox.
There is a big round scratch that does all the way around the game. Maybe something was in
the player or on the disk when put in the machine. Not sure. But not a little scratch.
I sent her a picture of the games. Took about 20 trys to get a pic of the scratch to
show on the pic. After sending her the pic, she stopped emailing me back.
How long do I wait to email paypal? Do I give her a week to fix the problem?

They almost always side with the buyer. You will have to return the item though, and you will have to pay the return shipping (you don't get reimbursed for the return shipping, but you will get reimbursed for the initial shipping).

I received the game and emailed her on 11/21 about the scratching. I had an
adult friend see if the game worked. I was weird after seeing the scratches
that it was not going to play. Didn't want to give my son a game that didn't
play.
So he took it and checked it out. The game loaded but would not play due to
the big scratch. So I emailed her on 11/25 asking for a refund.
I figured I would give her a few days to get back to me because of the holiday.

Holiday's over, she should have gotten back to you. If you want to be nice about it, give her a deadline, but a very short one....like if you don't hear from her in 24 hours, you'll file with paypal. Then file - paypal will direct you to mail it back to her.
VERY important Michelle. Make sure you get delivery confirmation on the package. If you return it and she's a skunk, she can say she never got it back and you'll lose the case. As long as you have d.c. to prove it was delivered, paypal will refund you shortly.

diff. games. We don't have any of the games. The xbox 360 was given to me for
my son.(used) So I was just trying to find a game reasonable for him for x-mas.
But I seemed to bid on the wrong ebay auction.
Going to file with paypal now....just have the figure out how. Hopefully I can get my money back.

i could not beleive the difference in prices when i bought the 360 system.. i no way would have paid that much or even got it if i had known how much i was going to spend lol
its the first system that i bought my kids.. the other systems they have were bought by grandmother, dad etc
