Which I am hoping ends soon because at 5 they do this really awesome parade and they light a million lights downtown in our city. We always go and even though Gracie and I are both sick, I still want to see it today. I hope you and Gracie feel better. We had rain this past week and I'm glad it finally stopped. Next weekend our church is having a Christmas open house and we are gonna serve hot cocoa, coffee, cookies and other goodies, plus we are doing free family portraits. I can't wait, Cheyenne and I are gonna be baking up a storm this week. Plus after the open house is the Christmas parade :)

We wound up going and the kids had a good time. Unfortunately we had this incredibly rude woman next to us and as the parade started she edged her whole family in front of us so I couldn't see anything more than the backs of their obnoxious heads. Worse because of that we had to send the two younger girls to stand in front of all of them, so I spent the entire time stressing that G would walk to close to the floats and get hurt. I actually feel sorry for that lady today. She said and I quote, "I don't mean to be rude, but" as she asked my Dh if her daughter could push their baby in front of him and of course since it was a kid he got right out of their way and then they just moved the entire perimeter of the crowd from the edge of the sidewalk where we were to about a foot into the street. It was chaos from there. Normally the police come through beforehand and get everyone off the road, but they were absent. It was a mess! But my kids enjoyed it, so I will just stay focused on that and forget that woman's awful behavior. She was the grandmother of the group too, so you would think she would know better. I really don't like to drive even on a good weather day... so add some snow and I find any excuse not to go away :) I really think I belong in a southern state, not central Pennsylvania!!
