I will definitely post more if I get some, my mother has been giving these to me hoping we take the boys but I really cannot picture them bowling yet. More like I worry they would break something!!

All of the bowling alleys around here have a ramp for the little kids and a 4 pound ball (usually kept behind the counter and you have request one).
You help the child carry the ball to the ramp and then they push the ball off the ramp and it really gives it speed. The ramp is portable so you can aim it whereever you want and if you put up the gutter guards, the kids usually do really well.
DS was around 3 when we used the ramp for the first time. He is 5 now and thinks bowling is the greatest thing ever.

I might call around to see about that ramp... I know they have the bumper bowling at special times here. Thanks for the tip about the ramp and lightweight balls.
