My DD lives in KY and we went to see her about a month ago and they were having a company picnic on Sunday and dragged us along - well a free BBQ dinner is a free BBQ dinner - LOL. Anyway, they were playing it and she and her DH won - it was $100 - so they took us out to eat that night at Patti's 1880's Settlement - if any of you have heard of it!

I would never, ever order pork chops at a restaurant - I do a decent job of fixing them myself. But, our DD absolutely MADE us order one - they have a one inch pork chop and a two inch pork chop. WELL, they are the best thing that I have ever eaten in my entire life. They serve homemade bread cooked in a flowerpot and serve it with whipped strawberry butter! Very rustic but a long waiting line to eat. There is another restaurant (Bills?) on the property, but they say to just go to Patti's - maybe different food in each?
We go there every time we go to see DD - it is about 1/2 hour from Paducah where they live.
