My original hair color is brown with some gray. I colored it light/medium auburn with Nice & Easy. I should not have let my husband convince me that it was too light and matched my facial complexion too close. I recolored it with the same brand only in black. OMG, is it ever black. It is too dark of a black. Can I recolor it again using a brown or an auburn color? Would it end up giving me some kind of a funky color or will it color ok?

If it's already black you're not going to help matters by putting more dye on. Instead wash your hair a LOT with an abrasive shampoo such as Suave. Do this for about a week and see how much the color improves. 2|2|there is 2 things you can do|Basketcase|basketbubby@hotmail.com|14:34:07|11/10/2009|

1. you can stripe out the black and use a filler and recolor it . Which is going to really dry you your hair .

or
you can just let it grow out , which is probably your best choice.

if you go to a hair shop to have it done , they will charge you a arm and leg, I did hair before having my 3rd child

You can buy this at any drugstore or walmart, but this is what it looks like,

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=170251&catid=128407 4|1|My hair is dark brown with auburn highlights, but some grey underneath and at the temples.....I stick with warmer shades like Medium Golden Brown....it lightens my hair just a shade, but still close enough to my natural color that it doesnt leave roots as it grows out....the only indicator I need to color again is when the grey starts showing up badly again, lol. Next time you color, I'd recommend you go ONE shade lighter than your natural color, not darker, and get one that covers the grey really well so you dont have to color as often. To get the black out, you could try using a clarifying shampoo (suave and Pantene both make good ones) and use that, but make sure to condition REALLY well so it doesnt dry your hair out.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|15:45:32|11/10/2009|

You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.
