We bought a fake tree there one year at a good price (cheaper than Walmart)... they don't have any stores nearby me where I live now or I would stop to price them for ya.

My hubby just informed me that we are having a REAL TREE this year for the first time; I don't like the fire hazard but he promised me that it won't burn down. When I was in 1st grade, this kid in our class lost his entire home/gifts under the tree because of an electrical problem with lights. Sigh, that was a nightmare for me for years but we didn't have a tree growing up just a nativity scene.

Any way, good luck finding a tree :) I hear the pre-lit are great but we just have our ol' plain Jane tree!

years ago. The cats were climbing it every single night and every morning I would wake up to the tree on the floor and my precious ornaments shattered.

Then the mess was just getting to be too much. So we went with a fake one from harrows..I think in January. We got it for 75% off. I LOVE the prelit b/c it alwasy seemed to be my job to light the tree and it was truly a pain. And also be sure to get one ..where if one bulb goes out the whole thing doesn't go out.

After 4 years I still love our fake tree. :)

I also remember getting my mom one from Amazon for $39. One of those crazy deals. Free shipping. She LOVES it. 3|2|I couldn't have real ones when I was young but have had a real one every year since we have been married (M)|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|13:57:55|11/10/2009|

It's a prelit - has a remote (OMG) and it can either be all white, all mixed colors or a all of those. It's nice to not have to deal with light strings. They would drive me nuts. I ended up getting this tree for nothing (had a coupon and it was 95% off). Actually, I think I paid less than $2 for it. I figured if it only lasted a year I still made out. I just took it out of the storage place a couple weeks ago and it's in the back of my car -- another 2 weeks and I'll have to clear out all my stockpile boxes and put it up.

Oh, and unlike the Obamas -- my tree is a CHRISTMAS tree... not a holiday tree.

I do miss the fresh pine smell but I have 3 humungous pine trees in my front yard that ya'll are more than welcome to come chop down. LOL I don't always notice much of a "piney" smell but they drop enough pine needles to pave an interstate. ;-p

I noticed them today when I took my mom shopping. I may go back & check into them a little bit more. LOL
